Program Evaluations
Program Evaluations for Transportation and Technology were presented to the Board. The district transports approximately 2000 students twice per day during the school year totaling around 355,000 miles annually. The department has maintained a 90% or better bus inspection rating over the past five years. Technology departments highlights included the ratio of electronic devices per student is 1:1, all students having internet access, 6500 work orders addressed annually, upgrades to camera systems, key card door access installation, and replacement of the student information system software.
Student Assessments
The Curriculum & Instruction Department assesses all kindergarten through ninth graders and all CAIR students on math and reading using iReady and PWRS data. These assessments are used to identify any needed adjustments to interventions for students not yet at grade level or enrichment for who are already at or beyond grade level. The Assessment Analysis showed growth in specific domains such as phonics, vocabulary, numbers, measurement and algebraic thinking.
Strategic Plan Mid-Year Review
Administration reviewed progress toward goals in the Focus Areas of Student Success, Workplace Excellence, Resource Stewardship & Organizational Efficiency, Family and Community Involvement and Strategic Governance. Progress is determined by the percentage of action steps that are in progress or complete.
Facilities Upgrades
The Board approved contracts to upgrade the Grandview Middle School roof and parking lot, and resurfacing the football field and track at Grandview High School.
