2024 No Tax Increase Bond Issue
The Grandview C-4 School District is poised for significant improvements through a proposed bond issue of $50,000,000. This initiative aims to address critical areas, focusing on safety enhancements, infrastructure upgrades, and facility renovations across the district. Importantly, the proposal ensures that there will be no tax increase for residents.
The proposed bond projects encompass a comprehensive range of initiatives, each contributing to the overall enhancement of the educational environment. Here's a look at the key projects that will be prioritized with the allocated funds:
Safety and Security Upgrades
Continuing to enhance safety and security are the district’s top priorities for students and staff. Bond funds will further enhance safety and security measures across all district facilities. This includes state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure to ensure a secure learning environment.
Elementary and Middle School Renovations
Renovations at elementary and middle schools will cover a spectrum of improvements, including enhancements to school hallways, classrooms, and restrooms. Foundation issues at the middle school will also be addressed.
Grandview High School Facility Enhancements
The bond will include the construction, and renovation of high school facilities. Focus areas include athletic facilities like the baseball/softball field, weight room, athletic storage facility, parking lots, the library, and fine arts areas.
District-Wide Technology Enhancement
The bond proposal seeks to enhance district-wide technology, ensuring students have access to cutting-edge tools and resources.
District Warehouse and Cold Storage Facility
The construction, equipping, and furnishing of a new warehouse and cold storage facility will provide the district with the necessary infrastructure to support various operational needs.
HVAC System Upgrades
Continue to provide necessary upgrades to HVAC units. All GC-4 district buildings are over 60 years old making HVAC upgrades a continuous priority to ensure optimal comfort and air quality for students and staff.
