Teachers Nationwide Visit District PLTW Classrooms
Grandview Middle and Belvidere Elementary School students showcased their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills for teachers across the country.

Teachers from several different states visited the schools to check out their Project Lead the Way classrooms. Their visit was part of the Project Lead the Way Regional Summit held in Kansas City, MO in November. Visitors toured the PLTW classrooms and spoke with students and teachers about their curriculum and projects. Only three schools in the entire metro area were invited to host a tour and 2 of those 3 were in our district! -

Cover to Cover Summer Reading Program
Cover to Cover in the Grandview C-4 School District is a program designed to help prevent a summer decline in reading skills and promote a lifelong love of reading. The project in 2018 had an impact on approximately 1050 students at Butcher-Greene, Conn-West and High Grove. Each elementary student received 10 new books in May, while those in early childhood received five new books for the summer.

National Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest Winners
The Grandview Fire Department awarded one 4th grade student from each class with a ride on the fire truck to school. They earned it by winning the elementary poster contest for National Fire Prevention Week promoting fire safety.
